The best way to start this blog off would be a very quick and simple introduction to what laser hair removal is and how it works. Well it’s all really in the name its using a laser to remove hair on the body and to be more specific the laser is not actually hitting the hair directly but the hair follicles which are under the skin which contain the roots of the hairs. The purpose is to zap these hair follicles repeatedly and over time depending person to person the hair grows back really slowly.
Is it dangerous? This is one of the most commonly asked questions when most women learn of how laser hair removal works. In simple terms if all the proper procedures are being followed then a laser hair removal session should not be dangerous or hazardous to your health. A good way to look at this is to compare this with the most common hair removal method which is using a razor, if the razor is mishandled and not used properly then that would be dangerous as well wouldn’t it? It’s also very important to know that the effectiveness and the side effects of laser hair removal sessions are dependent on the type of skin that you have the most common side effects will be shared later on. For example the skin tone is a very important factor that needs to be considered laser hair removal works best for light toned skin with a dark hair color. The purpose of this blog! The norm use to be that you go to your local clinic (If available) to book some laser hair removal sessions this was normally very inconvenient and also quite expensive. I was always interested in laser hair removal and have travelled very far for my sessions because I find this to be the most effective form of hair removal. But later I learned about at home laser hair removal devices and this really caught my interest and opened a whole new world for me. I started off going to the nearest store and I purchased a device which I had a good feeling about after one use I never used it again it was horrible. A couple of weeks later I went back and purchased another device and yet again it were horrible. I felt a bit like Goldilocks the first device worked pretty good but it was just too painful while the second device was quite pain free but required too much of my time to use and this was not possible over the long run. I went online and tried to find some good reviews but I found these too be quite limited as well as most at home laser hair removal reviews available are those regarding the most expensive products. You can try this out yourself try searching for some reviews of laser hair removal machines and you won’t find the many on the mid range models that you are interested in. Even if you do find one review if won’t be in that much detail it would barely cover the surface of the device. So all I could do was use the little information that I had available and I bought a handful of machines as I wanted to test out the various features these machines promised. I have a big stack of machines that I have tested and gone through most of them were disappointing. So I decided that I would set up a blog about reviewing mid priced laser hair removal devices as I have this information available to me and at the same time I will be able help others. If I’m comfortable blogging about these reviews I may even additional set up a Youtube channel to do video reviews as well but for now I believe that the best way to do a review for a laser hair removal device is by text as this allows the reader to digest the information at their own pace and there is a lot of weird and technical information that comes around in the world of laser hair removal devices.
